This Sunday comic strip follows a young girl and her pet dog through a windy city street. The narrative unfolds across six panels: the child's hat blows away despite her efforts; a gentleman catches it on a flat-iron building; she retrieves it with thanks; the wind carries it off again; a policeman intervenes; an older woman scolds the child for the commotion. The strip employs sequential art conventions—discrete bordered panels, speech balloons, recurring characters—that became foundational to newspaper comics. The artist uses bold ink work and clear figure drawing to convey action and emotion across a simple comedic scenario, typical of early-twentieth-century Sunday funnies that entertained mass audiences through visual narrative.
