This Sunday strip follows a mischievous boy through six panels of escalating chaos. Buddy uses a skipping rope to enlarge a soap bubble, loses control as it expands, and watches it burst—sending soapy water flying and startling a nearby monkey. The comic employs the visual conventions that defined early newspaper strips: sequential panels advancing a single gag, silhouetted figures, speech balloons, and exaggerated action. By 1905, such strips filled the Sunday supplements of major newspapers, establishing the visual language that would become fundamental to comic books. The artist uses bold blacks and dynamic composition to convey motion and surprise across the page.
