The strip exemplifies the visual language developed by newspaper cartoonists in the 1920s: sequential panels advancing narrative time, speech balloons conveying character voice, and recurring child protagonists in domestic American settings. Multiple gags unfold across the page—from arguments over coat-borrowing to a climactic tumble down a snowy hill—each panel building on the last.
