A four-panel domestic comedy strip depicting a husband's escape to a men's club. The visual narrative moves from wife's complaint about boredom, to husband's defense of club membership, to wife's counterargument about marriage duties, to husband's reluctant concession. The strip employs speech balloons, sequential panels, and exaggerated figure work typical of early newspaper comics. Fuller Bunk ran as a daily and Sunday feature, exemplifying the humor strips that populated American newspapers in the 1920s—a period when newspapers were the primary venue for comic art and the medium's visual language was still being established by pioneering cartoonists.
