Home Wanted by a Baby!
· March 25, 1913

This Sunday strip follows a chaotic domestic scene as a young couple attempts to manage a baby's unpredictable behavior. Across six panels, the infant creates escalating mayhem—climbing furniture, breaking objects, and generally terrorizing the household—while the parents react with exasperation and resignation. The strip employs the visual conventions that defined early newspaper comics: sequential panels advancing a narrative, expressive character drawings, speech balloons capturing dialogue, and physical comedy as the primary source of humor. The domestic setting and child-rearing theme reflect popular Sunday page subjects of the era, when comics in the newspaper supplement served as entertainment for entire families.
