This Sunday strip follows a young couple's frantic efforts to find housing after discovering they're expecting a child. Across six panels, the narrative unfolds through physical comedy and domestic chaos: a woman summons her husband urgently, they tour increasingly unsuitable spaces, and the husband ends up injured after a fall from a crib frame. The strip employs the visual conventions that define early newspaper comics—sequential panels advancing plot, speech balloons carrying dialogue, and exaggerated body language for comedic effect. By the 1910s, the Sunday newspaper page had become a laboratory for visual storytelling, with artists developing the formal grammar that would shape comic books for decades.
