Little Jimmy

This daily strip follows young Jimmy and his friend as they navigate childhood mischief. The comic employs the visual conventions that defined early newspaper comics: sequential panels with speech balloons, exaggerated expressions, and simple linework. Jimmy's repeated appearance across panels and dialogue-driven gags established the recurring-character format that became standard in both newspaper strips and the comic books that followed. By the 1920s, such strips populated Sunday and daily papers nationwide, creating the template for visual storytelling that would evolve into the modern comic book industry.
