Little Jimmy

A Sunday newspaper strip following the domestic misadventures of a mischievous boy and his exasperated father. In this installment, Jimmy's resistance to bath time escalates into chaos when he attempts an indoor swimming pool, flooding the bathroom. The strip employs the visual vocabulary that defined early comics: sequential panels progressing narrative action, speech balloons anchored to speakers, and recurring characters. Newspaper strips like *Little Jimmy* pioneered the form that would evolve into the comic book industry, establishing how artists could guide readers through time and space using panel layout and visual continuity.
