This daily strip follows Mary, a scrappy young woman who narrates the aftermath of a street fight over a car. Her account—'the auto won, all right!'—delivers comedy through understatement and the visual contrast between her battered appearance and cheerful resignation. The strip employs the visual vocabulary of early newspaper comics: a single recurring character, speech balloon narration, and simplified line drawing.
