The Million Dollar Kid Solves Another Problem
· February 9, 1908

This Sunday page follows a recurring cast through a domestic crisis solved by a resourceful child character. The strip employs the visual conventions established in early newspaper comics: sequential panels with speech balloons, clear sight lines showing cause and effect, and humor derived from situation and character interaction rather than gag alone. The Million Dollar Kid exemplifies the Sunday supplement format that preceded the comic book—full-page narratives serialized weekly in newspapers, reaching mass audiences and establishing the visual grammar that comic books would inherit and codify.
