A Martian visitor observes Earth customs as a newspaper correspondent, recording his findings in a wireless notebook. The strip uses the panel-and-balloon vocabulary already standard in early newspaper comics: sequential scenes, speech balloons carrying dialogue and internal monologue, and a recurring character encountering new situations. The humor turns on the alien's bemused misinterpretation of human behavior—here, a woman dressing for an evening out.
