Noahzark Hotel
· 1913

This Sunday page comic strip depicts a hotel populated by anthropomorphic animals in a chaotic boarding-house scenario. The narrative follows a guest and hotel staff through a series of escalating domestic mishaps: a giraffe chauffeur's mishap with a taxicab, a zebra bellhop's accident with luggage, and increasingly frantic bedroom disruptions that keep residents awake. The artist employs sequential panels with speech balloons to establish cause-and-effect narrative flow, a visual strategy central to newspaper comics of the era. By 1913, the Sunday comic strip had become a standard feature in American newspapers, with recurring characters and slapstick humor driving reader engagement and newspaper circulation.
