Outbursts of Everett True

A two-panel gag strip centered on Everett True, a working-class character prone to comic outbursts. In the top panel, True interrupts a dinner party to declare the show inferior to a New York production; below, he explains his plan to move the entire gathering to the sidewalk where "the place for you is." The strip employs the visual vocabulary of early newspaper comics: recurring protagonist, multi-panel narrative structure, speech balloons for dialogue, and caricatured supporting players.
