A two-panel strip featuring the irascible Everett True, whose volatile responses to minor social irritations drove the humor. In the first panel, True confronts a delegation chairman about changing a vote; in the second, he literally hurls a man into a bandwagon—a visual pun on the expression "getting on the bandwagon." The strip's energy derives from exaggerated action and True's hair-trigger indignation. Running in newspapers from 1905 onward, *Everett True* exemplified the daily comic strip format that emerged from the Sunday pages, using sequential panels and speech balloons to build gags through escalating physical comedy and recurring character traits.
