Seein' Stars

Each panel presents a brief anecdote: Jimmy Cagney's marathon dance stamina, track runner Fredric March at Wisconsin, Francis Lederer's method acting with raw meat in *Man of Two Worlds*, and Marion Davies' military honors. The strip exemplifies the newspaper comic format—sequential panels with captions, celebrity caricatures rendered in bold ink line, and punchy gag writing. Such strips colonized the Sunday funny pages alongside action serials and family comedies, establishing visual conventions that would anchor comic books: recurring characters, speech and caption balloons, panel-to-panel narrative. *Seein' Stars* reached readers hungry for studio gossip and inside-Hollywood humor during cinema's golden age.
