Smitty — Animal Instinct

A four-panel daily strip featuring Smitty, a boy protagonist observing animal behavior. The narrative moves from complaint about a hungry Meester Bailey's canary, through a discussion of a rat's predatory instincts, to Smitty's observation of a bird in nature, concluding with a pun on keeping one's mind "off diet."
