Smitty — Short Cut to Where

This daily strip follows Smitty, a mischievous boy character, through a sequence of four panels that establish narrative through action and dialogue. The first panel shows Smitty boasting about leading a larger boy astray; subsequent panels track his scheme to take a shortcut across a river, culminating in his realization that he's now lost and alone.
