Four-panel daily strip in which Soosie, a fashionable young schemer, persuades her indulgent father to borrow the Smiths' cook on approval for a luncheon — then the cook, carrying a crate of fragile dishes, collides her way through the household in a cascade of shattering crockery. The gag turns on dramatic irony: father calls her dangerous, she insists she is "gentle as a lamb," while the final panel shows a birdbath's worth of wreckage around her.
