This architectural rendering documents ornamental wall paneling from the Louis XIII salon at Fontainebleau. The study shows gilt carved details, painted door panels with mythological motifs, and a portrait medallion within an elaborate octagonal frame—characteristic of early 17th-century French royal interiors. The vertical pilasters feature blue-ground decorative panels with putti and architectural ornaments. Such documentation was essential as architects and decorators of the 19th century studied historical precedents to inform contemporary palace restoration and design.
