Kuwana: Ferryboats at Chichiri

Andō Hiroshige's woodblock print depicts the bustling ferry crossing at Kuwana, a station on the Tōkaidō road. A large transport vessel with billowed sail dominates the composition, crowded with passengers and cargo, while smaller boats navigate the waters below.
