Design for Building for the Department of State

Christian Francis Rosborg's architectural rendering presents a classical government building in the Beaux-Arts style. The symmetrical facade features a central pavilion with three arched entrances, flanked by wings with pediment gateways. Stone walls, rusticated bases, and ornamental detailing exemplify the formal institutional architecture of the early twentieth century. Rosborg (1881–1953) was a Swedish-American architect who designed public buildings and residences across the United States.
