Museum Catalog Note *10 Story Book*, May 1922 (Vol. 21, No. 6). This issue collects ten stories and sketches. The lead story, "The Devil's Model" by Ray St. Vrain, concerns Eric Rohn, a wealthy Scandinavian painter in New York obsessed with finding a model possessing the distinctive green skin-tones characteristic of Henner's paintings. When fellow artist Ernie Clark exhibits a successful Psyche featuring such coloring, Rohn searches the Village and discovers the model is the demure Ruby Giddings—but finds her ordinary pink-toned flesh unremarkable. He notices similar green undertones in his society wife Rosanne, which she conceals with cosmetics. The narrative details Rohn's growing suspicion of an affair between Rosanne and Clark, culminating in Rohn's nighttime entry to Clark's studio. Other contributions include "Prof. and the Girls" by Howard Phillip Rhodes and "A Study in Black and White" by Charles L. Hornbeck.
