This document is not a pulp magazine but rather a U.S. Army military intelligence report dated March 7, 1949, detailing observations of unidentified aerial phenomena at Camp Hood, Texas. The report contains four separate incident accounts from ground observers at Killeen Base documenting sightings of bright lights—described variously as basketball-sized, flash-bulb-sized, and teardrop-shaped objects in blue, blue-white, brilliant blue-white, orange, and bluish-white colors. Observations occurred between 1940 hours on March 5 and 0200 hours on March 7. One witness, a Harvard graduate, reported a vertical descent and disappearance behind trees. The Army initiated investigation through representatives of Killeen Base and G-2 intelligence with intent to file a complete report.
