On August 19, 1949, near Bloomington, Wisconsin, the witness and his wife observed an unconventional aerial object traveling northward at approximately 200-300 mph. The witness described it as remarkably bright and shiny, resembling a mirror with wing-like appendages—estimated at one foot in diameter with ten-inch extensions. The object traveled at a level consistent with normal aircraft altitude, produced no visible propulsion, and vanished from view. A farmer in the area later reported hearing an unexplained loud noise in late September or October.
