Pulp Magazine Cover, June 1950
This document is not a pulp magazine, but rather a military report dated June 29, 1950, concerning an unidentified aerial object observed at Red River Arsenal in Texarkana, Texas. The report details an incident from June 27, 1950, at 7:50 AM, witnessed by two arsenal employees traveling in a Federal truck. The object was described as bright aluminum, roughly dishpan-sized (18 inches wide, 9 inches deep), initially appearing spherical but flattening as distance increased. Observers estimated it at 70-75 degrees elevation, traveling north to south at high speed, visible for 1.5-9 seconds. The object cast no shadow, made no sound, left no trail, and appeared to reflect sunlight. It traveled in straight, level flight and diminished gradually until disappearing. Weather was clear with no cloud cover.
