Pulp Magazine Cover, February 1953
This document is not a pulp magazine, but rather a declassified U.S. Air Force intelligence report from February 1953 concerning an unidentified flying object sighting near Laurel, Montana. The report documents observations by two civilian witnesses of a round, blue-white object traveling westward at approximately 8,000 feet altitude. The object displayed a twinkling, star-like appearance with bluish-greenish coloration, moved slowly with vertical fluctuations, and produced no sound or exhaust. One observer, a former Air Force crew chief with five years of service, watched for several minutes; a second observer, a fifteen-year-old, viewed it for approximately two hours from atop a building. Weather conditions were clear with light westerly winds. No photographs or physical evidence were obtained. The report notes no meteorological explanation for the sighting.
