This document is an official Air Intelligence Information Report (AF Form 112) filed by the U.S. Air Force in 1953, concerning eight unidentified flying object sightings reported in eastern New York State between February 11 and March 1, 1953. Seven sightings were reported through Ground Observer Corps Post UN3OR at Olean, Cattaraugus County; one through COC Post UN3B5 in Corry, Pennsylvania. Reports include cone-shaped and disc-shaped objects—some colored red, green, or white, moving erratically upward and downward. Most objects made no sound and left no visible exhaust. One sighting was concluded to be the planet Venus. Photography was attempted for at least one sighting. Air Defense Command aircraft were scrambled; no unusual contacts resulted. Most cases remained marked "Insufficient Data for Evaluation."
