This document is not a pulp magazine but rather a classified military intelligence report from February 11, 1955, concerning an unidentified flying object sighting. A C-119 aircraft crew en route from Tunis to Tripoli observed a bright object with a diffused light halo off the right wing while flying at 7,000 feet at 170 knots airspeed. Crew members reported observation times ranging from 5 to 55 minutes, with some claiming the object ascended and descended. Four of six crew members believed the object was not a star; two withheld judgment. Project Blue Book submitted the sighting to its contract astronomer, who concluded the object was probably Venus, based on its azimuth position, brightness under fair weather conditions, and its stationary appearance over an extended observation period.
