· March 1954

This document is not a pulp magazine but rather a classified U.S. Air Force intelligence report from March 1954 regarding an unidentified flying object sighting near Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City, Florida. Two military dependents—Mrs. Q (age 31) and Mrs. Q (age 24)—reported observing an object that changed shape from cigar-like to delta-wing to round and flat configurations over approximately five minutes. The object appeared whitish with silver tints, later turning pinkish-grey, estimated at 35 inches in diameter. It descended, moved horizontally, turned northward then westward at altitudes between 7,000-10,000 feet without producing sound. The reporting officer concluded it was likely a local aircraft, though subsequent radio reports suggested a pilot had observed a large bird flock near the base at approximately the same time. No physical evidence or radar identification was obtained.
