This document is not a pulp magazine. It comprises Blue Book Project 10073 UFO case record cards and associated UPI news wire clippings from December 1959–January 1960. The material documents government investigation of unidentified flying object reports and includes case evaluations (balloons, aircraft, astronomical phenomena, insufficient data). Featured incidents include: a sighting over Willoughby, Ohio by housewives describing a "silver pencil with fins"; a Junction, Texas accountant observing a large oblong shape; and a bowl-shaped bright-orange object near Oakdale, California witnessed by Kenneth Lindsley and multiple corroborating observers. The largest narrative concerns the world's largest experimental weather balloon (411 feet long, 300 feet diameter) launched from Rapid City, South Dakota on December 14, 1959, which became lost over the Midwest and was found deflated in Mississippi woods. News accounts document the balloon's tracking, loss, and recovery with technical details about its plastic construction and scientific payload.
