ACTION-PACKED WESTERN, January 1955 This issue contains two featured Western novellas and four short stories. The lead novella, "Death Rides My Saddle" by an author identified through OCR as beginning with "O[?]," concerns Les Crosby, a man suspected of cowardice by the Broken Spur crew after his father's death, who proves his courage under pressure. The second novella, "Golden Circle" by Roe Richmond, follows seven people connected to discovered gold, each of whom meets a doomed fate. Short stories include "Embedded at Arrowhead" by Lee Floren featuring Buck McKee and Tortilla Joe assisting a tough woman; "Loot" by Ray G. Ellis about Joe Archer's regrets over stolen money; "Women Take Fool Chances" by Helene Huff involving a bell worn by Diamond as a trap device; and a fourth story by J. J. Mathews.
