Featured stories include "El Caballero," a complete novelette by Walt Coburn set in early Tombstone, Arizona, depicting the outlaw Zeke Saunders protecting his sensitive, book-loving son Clay before being ambushed and killed by five men. Other contents include: "Buffaloes" by William Wells; "The Old Warhorse" by James Stevens (lumber mill story); "In the Year 2000" by Arthur O. Friel (part two of an Amazon jungle novel); "Kiwi" by Raoul F. Whitfield (American airmen in the Philippines); "Sailors All" by Stanley Ward Walker (sea story); "Black Booty" by Bernard J. Farmer (Canadian fur country); "Bound South" by Captain Dingle (detective on tramp steamer); "The Vanishing Vandal" by Allan Vaughan Elston (Western mystery); and "The Aristocrat" by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (cavalry patrol story).
