Amazing Stories, April 1928 This issue contains the opening installment of H.G. Wells's two-part serial "A Story of the Days to Come," which concerns Mr. Morris, a proper Victorian Englishman, and future changes in human society and mechanical advancement. Also featured are "The Yeast Men" by David H. Keller, M.D.; "The Way of a Dinosaur" by Harley S. Aldinger; "Baron Munchausen's Scientific Adventures" by Hugo Gernsback (with the Baron learning about Mars and Martians via radio communications); "The Miracle of the Lily" by Clare Winger Harris; "The Ancient Horror" by Hal Grant; "The Master Key" by Charles S. Wolfe; and "The Return of the Martians" by Cecil B. White. The next issue will feature Part II of Wells's serial, plus "Four Dimensional Robberies" by Bob Olsen (involving theft via four-dimensional forceps) and "The Octopus Cycle" by Irvin Lester and Fletcher Pratt. The magazine announces a $300 prize contest seeking a symbol or emblem for "scientifiction."
