This issue contains five serials in progress: Isabel Ostrander's "Annihilation Gas" (seven-part story, part one), John Schoolcraft's "The Fourth Chum" (four-part, part two), Max Brand's "The Stranger at the Gate" (six-part, part three), Laurie York Erskine's "The Laughing Rider" (six-part, part five), and Charles Wesley Sanders's "Out of the World for a While" (four-part, part four). Additional fiction includes Bertha Lowry Gwynne's "Dark o' the Moon," William Slavens McNeal's "Fate and Evelyn," and other novelettes and short stories. Poetry contributors include Roselle Mercier Alps and Edith Tatum. A teaser announces an anonymous royal romance involving intrigue and love across class lines, launching the following week.
