Tubb's serial novel *Star Haven*, concerning the tense encounter between Captain Barker and Commander Williams over whether to land a colonial expedition on the planet Hyperon. The colony there has ceased radio contact; Barker refuses landing per protocol, but Williams threatens public backlash and demands the crew set down, risking unknown dangers for Earth's desperate need for agricultural worlds. The issue contains three short stories: "Cleansing Fires" by Dan Morgan, "A Date with the Past" by Lionel Brooks (a time-travel piece), and "John Brown's Body" by Sydney J. Bounds. Non-fiction features include "Photography in the Future" by Joy K. Goodwin and "Invisible Daylight" by W.W.
