This issue of *Beadle and Adams'* weekly features "The Maze of the Silver Dagger; or, the Silver Dagger," by Captain Howard Holmes. The narrative then follows Nicobar to a fine mansion where he reports to his superior, "the Major," and encounters an attractive woman named Lorene. The serial continues with further complications involving the criminal society and its deadly methods.
