Silver Rifle, the Girl Trailer

This semi-monthly pulp novel by Captain Charles Howard presents "Silver Rifle, the Girl Trailer; or, the White Tigers of Lake Superior." Nahma drives off the Chippewas through reputation alone. The pair escape by boat as a storm rises. Ahdeek carries powder and refuses to explain his connection to a deceased trapper named Snowbeard until visiting the man's burned homestead. Nahma recounts a mysterious ghostly visitation observed on the lake a week prior. The narrative incorporates frontier warfare elements relating to Pontiac's uprising, dead traders, and the brothers' vigilante role against hostile Indians.
