This issue collects eight stories across detective, adventure, and western genres. "Out of the Night" by Carroll John Daly opens with a protagonist newly released from prison on parole, haunted by the memory of having been sacrificed by someone named Parsons to cover up a crime—determined now to seek vengeance. "Buzzard Bait" is by Erle Stanley Gardner. "The Man-Eaters of Tsavo" is attributed to Lieut. Col. J. H. Patterson, D.S.O. Donald McGregor contributes "Full Speed Ahead," featuring detectives and harbor police battling river pirates. Additional stories include "The Turquoise Ring" by Carl Clausen, "A Knight's Night Out" by S. H. Weaver, "A Breath of Suspicion" by Cyril J. Conrad, and "So Spake the Prophet" by Hal Rammel. The cover is by H. C. Murphy, Jr.
