This volume is the Queensland Blue Book for 1903, a government statistical and administrative directory compiled from official returns. It contains extensive listings of state officials, civil establishments, magistrates, governors, parliament members, judges, and other governmental offices and their occupants. The appendix includes an alphabetical index of officers with their positions, such as teachers, clerks across various departments (railways, lands, treasury, instruction), engineers, surveyors, bailiffs, registrars, inspectors of various services, and other civil servants. Organizations listed include schools, hospitals, asylums, courts, and government bureaus. The volume provides an authoritative record of Queensland's administrative structure in the early twentieth century.
