Gibraltar Annual Blue Book for 1922
This is the official administrative and financial publication of Gibraltar for the fiscal year 1922, compiled by the Garrison Library Printing Establishment and published in 1923. The volume functions as a comprehensive government statistical and regulatory reference guide.
The Blue Book contains thirty-four indexed sections documenting Gibraltar's governance and infrastructure. It includes taxation schedules specifying duties on imported wines, spirits, malt liquors, and tobacco; revenue and expenditure accounts with comparative statements; asset and liability assessments; public debt records; municipal administration and local bodies; public works projects; and legislative materials including laws and proclamations.
Additional sections address population and vital statistics, ecclesiastical matters, education, government publications, currency and banking standards, import-export trade data, shipping records, industrial production and natural resources, wages and cost of living, prison statistics, hospital and asylum operations, charitable institutions, meteorological observations, savings banks, government buildings, transportation services including railways and tramways, postal and telegraph operations, and harbor facilities. The publication serves as an authoritative administrative record of colonial governance.
