"Vagabundos del Espacio" (Space Vagabonds) This Spanish-language science fiction serial by Adam Surray (issue 307 in Editorial Bruguera's "La Conquista del Espacio" collection, June 1976) depicts a rebellion in Lunar Prison-One. The narrative opens with Roy Leans, a prisoner in the Molecular Electronics Department, meeting his contact Rosalind in a recreation chamber. Though she urges his participation in an imminent uprising coordinated across prison sections, Leans expresses skepticism about success against Earth's superior weaponry. Rosalind counters that prisoners—psychobiologically controlled automatons—have nothing to lose. Leans later learns from fellow inmate Elliot Baldins of an alternative: four prisoners could substitute for robots aboard the Starlight cosmonave, scheduled for a hyperspace mission through the solar system to Pluto, offering escape from Earth's retribution. The rebellion subsequently erupts when saboteurs destroy the Communications Department, disabling security systems and enabling prisoners to overwhelm guards and seize weapons.
