"La Amenaza Múrida" by A. Thorkent
This Spanish-language science fiction serial, issue #332 in Editorial Bruguera's "La Conquista del Espacio" collection (October 1976), concerns political conspiracy and interstellar rescue. The protagonist Nurok, a devoted student of the exiled reformer Traoll, has spent a century secretly developing technology to locate his master's prison-ship while appearing loyal to authorities. When fellow ideologue Ercus reveals their underground network has been protecting Nurok's work, he delivers urgent news: Traoll escaped his exile vessel, killed Rill aliens aboard a passing ship, and landed on a planet where his own species, the Múrida, exist as savage fauna while Rill beings dominate as masters. The narrative explores themes of suppressed dissent, hidden resistance movements, and Traoll's shocking discovery of the inverted social hierarchy on this alien world. The political subtext concerns Traoll's teachings about Múrida racial supremacy and resistance to Rill occupation.
