Selección Terror: El cielo lloraba sangre
Museum Catalog Note This issue of *Selección Terror* (No. 242, October 1977) features "El Cielo Lloraba Sangre" (The Sky Wept Blood) by Silver Kane. The narrative opens with Lieutenant Callaghan of the Westboro police department (Gulf of Mexico) receiving cryptic orders from his superior, then shifts to John Murray and his companion Lorna Fields, who are attacked on a coastal road by enormous vultures carrying a severed, bleeding human head. After the gruesome encounter—the head falls into their convertible Mercedes—police arrive to find them in shock. In the police station, Callaghan separately interviews Murray while Lorna recovers from sedation. Two motorcycle officers discovered the couple's car crossed dangerously on the road. The narrative combines crime procedural elements with horror, exploring supernatural or inexplicable phenomena afflicting the coastal town.
