El pozo de las maldiciones

This Spanish pulp horror serial "El Pozo de las Maldiciones" (The Well of Curses) by Ralph Barby follows a group of young friends whose evening outing takes a sinister turn. After Paul arrives with his father's new blue metallic car, André and Serge prank him by throwing mud on it. The group drives to an automatic car wash, but upon exiting discover themselves in an unfamiliar, cold, desolate area with strange smells. The car runs out of fuel near a river. While Dominique remains behind, the others attempt to retrace their steps back to retrieve motorcycles and find gasoline, but the landscape seems altered—the path grows longer and unfamiliar, the ground turns to dirt, and the temperature drops unnaturally. Serge suspects they haven't actually traveled this route before, noting the tire tracks should be visible. The narrative builds atmospheric dread as the group realizes something is fundamentally wrong with their surroundings.
