Horror Infinito

This issue of *Selección* (Collection Terror #385) from Editorial Bruguera contains "Horror Infinito" by Clark Carrados. The story follows Marty Britton, who encounters his former acquaintance Pamela Slagherty—astonishingly rejuvenated from a prematurely aged woman into someone appearing twenty years old. Pamela attributes her transformation to an experimental live-cell treatment administered by an unknown doctor, which she claims rendered her physiologically twenty-five years old despite being forty-one. After a night together, Britton awakens to find Pamela transformed into a grotesque, pulsating mass of grayish substance with visible veins and her human eyes and lips barely visible within it. The creature escapes into the night and apparently kills a neighbor, Fred Rogent, dissolving his soft tissues while leaving only a skeleton. Britton confides this impossible account to his friend Inspector Anthony Carpenter of Scotland Yard, setting up the mystery's investigation.
