Clark Carrados: *Entre el Miedo y el Horror*
This Spanish pulp horror collection features Clark Carrados's novella chronicling a gruesome murder mystery. Lya Dumbarton awakens to find herself mysteriously aged forty years overnight—her young body ravaged by wrinkles, gray hair, and sagging flesh. Horrified by her reflection, she falls from her apartment balcony, dying of a fractured skull. Detective Harmel investigates when lawyer Victor Colman is called to identify the corpse. Fingerprint evidence confirms it is Dumbarton, though Colman knew her as a beautiful woman just months prior. The coroner discovers her aging was surgically induced, achieved through starvation and prolonged hypnosis over four weeks. Someone extracted £200,000 from her accounts before her death. Months later, a young woman named Auda Tewell visits Colman seeking help locating her missing father and a scientist named Hegstrom, who vanished simultaneously months earlier. Her father had been funding Hegstrom's mysterious scientific research promising revolutionary discovery.
