Selección Terror: El Arca de la Maldición
Clark Carrados: "El Arca de la Maldición" This mystery-horror installment features Professor Septimus Ainslower unveiling a cursed artifact—an ornate golden chest discovered in tropical Satzen-Tzá, containing a massive opal. The professor explains that only a destined person can safely open it by manipulating twenty-one locks in the correct sequence, knowable through deciphering ancient glyphs with computer assistance. A mysterious dark-haired man departs early from the press conference. Flavia Victor, Ainslower's new secretary, encounters Oliver Fix—a young American government official with State Department connections—searching for a house key outside the professor's residence. Upon entering together, they discover Ainslower murdered: his head severed cleanly from his body in his study chair. Inspector Sidney investigates, questioning Fix about his six-month absence, Ainslower's rumored vengeance against abandoned expedition members, and whether indigenous peoples might have killed him over the stolen artifact. The narrative breaks before resolution.
