La danza de las arañas
· 1974

"La danza de las arañas" by Clark Carrados is a horror tale set in Virginia. Young lovers Johnny Kincaid and Ethel Weiss discover a large web strung between two trees in a forest near the "House of Flesh," home to three young widows. When Johnny plays in the web, a giant spider emerges and attacks him. Ethel witnesses his death but collapses in trauma. Weeks later, she remains catatonic in a state psychiatric hospital. State police sergeant Nevil Ellis, trained in psychiatry, visits to investigate. Speaking with hospital director Dr. Hatherman, Ellis learns Johnny died from spider attack—though the doctor doubts such giant arachnids exist locally. When Ellis questions Ethel, she briefly speaks, mentioning the spider before collapsing again. Ellis then travels to the remote village of Hynorad to investigate further, meeting the local marshall, Spring Murphy, a young woman in law enforcement.
