Breezy Stories and Young's Magazine, December 1936
· December 1936

This December 1936 issue of Young's Magazine contains thirteen stories centered on romantic and domestic themes. Featured works include Berkham Stead's novella "A Lady Grows Up," about a woman settling a debt; Oliver Scott's "Love Goes On Forever," exploring enduring male devotion; and Roberta M. Yates's "Marriage Isn't All," examining female and male perspectives on matrimony. Other stories include "Emerald-Cut Diamond" by Ashford Grainge, Doris Stead's "Cake for the Devil," Victor Rousseau's "Superb," and Thomas W. Duncan's "A Bouquet of Flowers." The issue also features "Once a Woman's Bad" by Mary Carstairs, questioning whether women retain bad reputations permanently. A recurring column, "Romance and Your Stars," by Ruth Greenhill, offers astrological guidance. Poetry, illustrations by William Bryan Smith, and a cover by Enoch Bolles complete the issue. The magazine bills itself as publishing suitable short stories for general readership.
