La favorita del sultán

Catalog Note "Brigitte en Acción" (The Favorite of the Sultan) by Lou Carrigan follows American journalist and CIA operative Brigitte Montfort, codenamed "Baby," as she arrives in Aden on an urgent rescue mission. Three CIA agents have been captured by Sultan Omar Al Beida of the Arabian sultanate of Otar after being discovered conducting espionage operations. Two additional agents are cornered in El Otar's capital. Montfort meets with fellow CIA agent Simón to assess the situation: the captured agents have confessed under interrogation, revealing a CIA-backed invasion plan allegedly coordinated with neighboring Meslima to secure Otar's oil fields. Montfort dismisses political considerations, focusing solely on extracting her imprisoned colleagues. She and Simón travel by helicopter to a remote oasis near El Otar, then prepare to enter the ancient mud-brick city on foot under cover of darkness, disguised in Arab clothing, to locate and rescue the trapped agents.
